I was told I had pancreatic cancer on September 11, 2013. By luck, it was found at Stage IIb and surgery was possible. More luck followed: nine days later, on September 20, I was able to undergo a twelve-hour pancreaticoduodenectomy, known as PD surgery.

There is no need to hide it. Rather, I think it is worth sharing that the cancer was found through a medical checkup. The earlier it is found, the higher the chance of survival. It is also important not to be misled by false information, but to receive standard treatment. And after surgery,I also believe that continuing to act positively after surgery helped support my recovery. With those thoughts, I decided to write and publish this record.
